APS Speech

By participating in Speech, students grow in confidence and in the ability to effectively communicate with the public.  Building upon speaking skills introduced to students in Freshman Speech class, students may choose to grow and develop as speakers by participating competitively in Speech Meets during the Winter and Spring months.  Each competitive season culminates with the State Speech Meet held at UNK in March.

    Practices officially start the week of January 18 for lettering purposes since the first two weeks are focused on getting scripts and making cuts; however, if your cut is done early, Mrs. Crow can start practices early as well.  Here are the dates for upcoming speech meets.  Of course all dates and times are subject to change.
