The Hemmingford Game
The South Loup Bobcats lost Friday’s home game on September 19th against the Hemingford Bobcats. Hemingford is ranked number one in the state, and South Loup is one of the only teams that held them under 20 points per quarter. The final score was 48-0.
“[I love football] Because it’s something my dad and I can connect over, and he has got me really hooked ion it,” said Sully Lewis, junior.
Hemingford is their best game they have played all year so far. They’ve been working really hard in practice on defense because Burwell is very complicated offensively. That is tough to defend.
“We are going through a lot of new plays and we are really relying on the J.V. to work extra hard to get us ready for the upcoming game,” said Lewis following the Hemingford game.
