The Tale of Snow White 2014

This was the 7th annual Elementary Dinner Theater. The 2014 play had the largest cast we’ve ever had, 43 members from 2nd grade through 5th grade. The Directors were Mrs. Berni Crow, Mrs. Melva Geiser, and Mrs. Ashley Meyer. The play was not your typical SNOW WHITE. It was a refreshing, hilarious adaptation that wowed the audience. They were delighted by the mix of Brothers Grimm characters that appeared throughout the play. A contemporary mom starts the play off by reading Snow White to her bickering children. The story she reads turns real as characters appear on the stage. We meet a variety of forest animals, friendly Dwarf Villagers, a troupe of Ladies in Waiting, the Evil Queen, King’s men and soldiers, a squabbling Huntsman (with a pig), a young and an older Snow White, and even a nerdy Government Official (DNR). The DNR tries to keep the forest dwellers from ruining the environment, fines a dwarf for picking the state flower, while soldiers and the King’s men are wooing Snow White. The play kept the audience guessing, “What will happen next?"
